THE VENUS PROJECT

I placed four Venus figures, cast in concrete , at four different places in Skåne, Sweden. One sank to the bottom of the sea, one was burried at Skelderhus, where I showed the VENUS PROJECT the first time, one was put in a fire and one in air. I hope they are still there.
The places fit into a circle on the map and it was a symbolic gesture to the beauty of nature and the four elements, that together form harmony. As it is told in the mythology Venus/Afrodite, the goddess of beauty was born, in quite a dramatic way, from the sea.
